BATHROOM
R E M O D E L
Mr. Lee called us in to discuss renovations on his small, outofdate, main level bathroom that was in dire need of remodeling. The bathroom was not fully functional and had a multitude of structural and cosmetic issues. Mr. Lee wanted to get the work completed before his young son came home from camp, so he would not have to be subjected to the noise and disarray of construction. This meant that work would have to be completed in as short an amount of time as possible.
Challenge
One of the challenges of this project was the need for speed in everything from initial layout and design, through planning, ordering and gathering materials, all the way to the final completed product.
Another challenge was that the bathroom was nonfunctional to the point that the family was using the shower stall to store cleaning products. The plumbing had not worked for years.
Additionally, the flooring was not sound and needed to be reinforced before the room could be used as a proper bathroom.
Solution
Since it was of such importance to complete the bathroom before their son returned from camp, the project manager on site managed work time and put in longer hours to make sure we were able to complete the renovation as quickly as possible. As we do with all our projects, we made sure the materials were purchased and arrived in a timely manner and set things up so there would be no delays.
After completing the demolition of the bathroom we reinforced the floor joists, expanded the shower, and updated the bathroom to make it structurally sound and fully functional.
Conclusion
We worked quickly from initial consultation through to project completion, staying in touch with Mr. Lee as needed. The renovation was done without a hitch and in record time. The bathroom was completely finished and ready to use. Mr. Lee's son came home from camp to find a beautiful, fully functioning bathroom. The whole family was delighted.
"They came in quickly and worked very fast. We felt as if we were their only client which is rare with contractors." Mr. Lee
